Kraton (Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia - 09/02)

The main attraction of this touristy city is the kraton, the palace of the
sultans of Yogyakarta. This complex is a walled city in the city and home to
around 25000 people. It has its own markets, shops, schools and mosques. The
sultan employs around 1000 people. Some of them you can see on the pictures
like the women serving morning tea at around 10am to the sultan. The central
buildings of this complex were built between 1755 and 1756 and are a great
example of Javanese palace architecture.
