is one of Southeast Asia's most spectacular sites. It is over 1200 years old
and is built from two million stone blocks in the form of a massive
symmetrical stupa. It stands solidly on its 118 meter by 118 meter base.
Starting from the eastern entrance you should go clockwise around the temple
as one should around all Buddhist monuments. There are several square
terraces and it is said to circle the temple 3 times clockwise to offer the
temple respect before going up to the top. So we circled around :-)on the
different terraces...
