Sleeper Bus experience (on the way to Beijing, China - 22/05)

Sometimes, we do not understand the logic: the trip was starting at 11am in
Xian and we arrive at Beijing at 2am the next day... Why having a day
sleeper bus and why starting the trip so late to arrive in the middle of the
night??
